Earth and Water: A poetic Response to Rupi Kaur's Milk and Honey

tea time, poetry, coffee

Heard about Rupi Kaur?

If you are into modern poetry, especially those that are making waves on social media platforms like Instagram then you are likely to have heard about the Canadian poet.  She is a New York Times #1 Bestselling Author, starting with her first poetry collection Milk and Honey. My book is in response to hers.

Do you happen to like Modern Poetry?

To reiterate the question: Do you really like modern poetry? If so, what follows, may be your cup of tea. Or Coffee if you’re a coffee drinker.

Or Do you happen to Not Like Modern Poetry?

Do you dislike (or hate) this art-form? And wish for days when poetry, and literature in general was more beholden to the works of yesteryear. In which case you might be in for something.

Or are you simply looking for good poetry? And some solid prose where necessary

Verse that upholds what has come before. Whilst viewing the modern world: in terms of what it offers with an open, critical, and hopeful mind.

Warning

As readers of Rupi Kaur's books will know, her works often deal with mature themes. Often in a very 'mature' way. My book, whilst different in tone and intent, is suitable for a mature audience.
